Spar? Sure. I could always use a training partner.
[ Never before has he been surrounded by so many people who take training as intensely as he does, or even moreso. It's different. ]

Good. I haven't heard of any other incident, but I figure it's only a matter of time before something happens.

I hope the hunting team is successful in catching whatever's out there.

I'm fine.
[ actually, he's a wreck, seeing as he finished his first blackbox session. But she doesn't need to know that. ]

I'm keeping busy with patrols. They're actually pretty boring, for the most part. But that's good. It means no one's getting hurt.

Hopefully. By the time that happens, we might have landed on our next mission. Here's to hoping we can catch that thing soon.
Yeah, I don't know. You think someone could have brought it on the ship?
What kind of traps are people going to set up?
[ oh akame... you've certainly been busy! ]

Be careful what you wish for. Ajna was completely covered in ice and full of bugs that puked paralytic vomit on you. It wasn't exactly a "become one with mother nature" camping trip. Plus, I hate the cold.

FROM: zuko@cdc.org
You're right. It's beyond frustrating that there's nowhere to go but other parts of the ship. I wish we could properly evacuate anyone who's not a fighter.

Seriously?!

You have a funny concept of "interesting". Were you that bored back home? That willing to leave behind people in your world?
FROM: zuko@cdc.org
Yeah, I'll... try to remember that bit of optimism to next time we're stuck in a frozen tundra. At least I can't feel the paralysis setting in.
[ sarcasm. which... he hasn't had great luck translating it into text messages. ]
FROM: zuko@cdc.org
Yeah, I'll be patrolling around there, and seeking refuge myself when I need a rest. You should do the same whenever you get too tired.
FROM: zuko@cdc.org
Whatever works, I guess. It's kind of sad that something like "glitter" might work better than any of the advanced technology around here.

that's not what you need right now?
[forgive his (not so nice) teasing. or ... maybe, on second thought, don't.]
currently, the observation deck. we'll just have to see what our leaders have in store for us.

[ he's observed the view once, a few days ago with company— when things were hectic, but calmer than things were now, nevertheless. it was a breathtaking sight, one thing he couldn't find in him to deny— and sometimes it helped, to keep watching, looking at just how big the universe was. it makes you feel kind of small, right? or just think of home, or both, in tsuna's case.
bandages— the minute tsuna lays eyes on them, he really hopes akame is as well as she says she is ( and still finding it in her to even think about workouts? crazy— ), approaching with a very familiar notion of concern as he . . . well, tries to greet her normally! he nods. ]
Ah— Sure, thanks.
[ he doesn't have much of a habit of drinking water when he wasn't thirsty. it was the wrong thing to do, really, since the sensation of thirst is already the beginnings of dehydration— but he'll drink this time. it was kind of hot, anyway ( tsuna you've been wearing mittens what do you want ).
he doesn't notice anything right away, specifically what's gripped between her fingers. too small to notice, at least for now. ]
